‘Drive-In’ jiu-jitsu academy

Paulo Cezar ‘Drive-In’ is a 3rd degree Gracie Barra black belt and very successful coach and competitor with a BJJ academy in the Rio de Janeiro suburb of Gardenia Azul.

His academy is the traditional type and not one designed for people coming onto the tatame in cars! Drive-In got his nickname because he used to work in a drive-in restaurant.

Drive-In has a large and very successful kids team and has produced many young champions in the sport. His students pass range from an early age right up to teenagers and young adults. It’s not unusual to see 10-year-old orange belts on the mat with 17-year-old purple belts – and ALL of them are extremely talented!
