I had the best time of my life here, I met a lot of great people, saw a lot of exciting parts of Rio and did a lot of different things. My favourite thing about staying at the Connection Rio house was you’re around jiu-jitsu athletes, I think it’s important o be around people with the same interests as you, they motivate you to train, they get you up in the morning and they give you a hard time when you’re lazy! I had a great time here.

I’m pretty happy to have finally made it here and it was definitely worth the effort in coming here. Connection Rio made it easier to live the jiu-jitsu lifestyle, it was so well located to do things like train, to eat and to do extracurricular activities like go out or go to the beach. The neighbourhood is great, I haven’t had any problems. It’s beautiful here actually. Everyone’s great here, I definitely met some new friends. It just makes things easier coming to Rio, it did for me for sure.

So far it’s been one of those adventures that’s once-in-a-lifetime. It’s an awesome place, everything is so easy. I can eat well, train well and everything I need and want is at my fingertips. It seems a little bit easier than when I was in Thailand. I’m working with my teacher’s teacher, it doesn’t get better than that. I’m going to training and there’s 10-15 black belts on the mat!

I’ve known Dennis for over 10 years and can recommend Connection Rio unequivocally. Everyone I have sent to CR has had an outstanding experience thanks to Dennis going out of his way to make sure everyone has a great time – whether it’s training jiu jitsu, climbing Pedra da Gavea or going to a baile funk party – Dennis will make sure you really experience Rio de Janeiro.
